Programs and Band Types

With clinic partners across Canada and around the world, there is a SnugKap® program available for all degrees of head shape asymmetry. The many deformities SnugKap® is used to correct are: plagiocephaly, brachycephaly, asymmetrical brachycephaly, and scaphocephaly. SnugKap® is available for severe cranial deformities, mild cosmetic asymmetry, and as a retainer for younger patients to help keep the positive growth developed from other SnugKap® programs. Here are the SnugKap® programs:

SNUGKAP®

  • Treatment of medical level severities

  • Worn up to 23 hours/day for 16 weeks

SNUGKAP® LITE

  • Treatment of non-medical deformities

  • Worn up to 14 hours/day for 8 weeks

SNUGKAP® RETAIN

  • Retaining band after SnugKap® program

  • Worn up to 14 hours/day for 8 weeks

SnugKap® is made with baby and parent in mind. Our bands are custom made for each patient to accommodate every shape perfectly. Each SnugKap® is less than 1/2 the weight of a traditional cranial band and fitted with gel-infused padding to provide comfort around the clock. Not only have our bands been engineered to give patients the most comfort and ventilation, but they have gone through rigorous testing to ensure the are strong and safe for use.

SnugKap® is available in two styles:

Side Opening

These bands are best suited patients with asymmetric deformities like Plagiocephaly, Asymmetrical Brachycephaly, and Scaphocephaly. Side opening bands allow for growth in areas in the front and back of the head.

Snug - Front Opening.png

Front Opening

These bands are best suited for patients with symmetrical deformities like Brachycephaly. Front opening bands allow for growth to occur in the back of the head.
