1.Scan
The clinician does a quick scan around the baby’s head with a 3D light scanner.
2.Measurements
The scan data will instantly appear on screen so the clinician and family can go over what corrective measures should be taken.
3.Order Request
The clinician sends the scan data and information over to the HeadStart Medical team.
4.Order Confirmation
Once an order is submitted, our team ensures all needed information is available and the scan is workable.
5.Modification
In medical CAD, we create a 3D model of a corrective cranial band custom designed to fit the baby’s head.
6.3D Printing
After the 3D model is approved through Quality Assurance, it begins printing via 3D printer.
7.Fabrication
After the print has been checked for error, we finish the band with straps, foam, and another quality check.
8.Photos
The completed band is then photographed on a 360° turntable for documentation.
9.Shipping
The band is then packed and protected for next day delivery.
10.Fitting
On the requested fitting date, the clinician will make sure the band fits exactly how it should, adjusting if need be.
11.Treatment
The family then follows the treatment guide given by the clinician until the next fitting date.
12.Results
After the treatment process is complete, the baby will have grown into the band perfectly and have a normal head shape.
